1. Our approach
Dataswap is built for developers, and we keep browser storage to the minimum needed to run the product. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics pixels on the dashboard. We do not sell or share browsing behaviour. The dashboard authenticates using values kept in your browser's localStorage rather than traditional cookies.
2. What we store and why
These items are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to use the dashboard. They live in your browser and are sent to our API only as authentication headers when you make a request.

3. Third-party services
Some processors we rely on may set their own storage when you interact with their hosted flows — for example, Stripe during checkout for payment and fraud prevention. Those are governed by the respective provider's cookie and privacy policies. Our own marketing pages may, if enabled in future, use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool; this policy will be updated before any such tool is introduced.
4. Managing browser storage
You can clear the items above at any time by signing out of the dashboard, disconnecting your key, or clearing site data for dataswap.io in your browser settings. Because these values are strictly necessary for authentication, clearing them will sign you out and the dashboard will ask you to sign in again. Blocking them entirely will prevent the dashboard from keeping you logged in.
5. Changes
